PSF, MEG & PX prices fall in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1385/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market moved up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1020/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were assessed in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asia. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1090/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1030/ton. 
 
In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 48.00 cents/pound to 48.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices continued to be stable in European international and domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1105/ton and € 1045/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 915/ton. In China market, MEG prices rose and were in the range of US$ 930/ton to US$ 935/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged in the range RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted at RMB 9550/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices continued to be stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9600/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian market. In F E Asian market, PSF prices prevailed at US$ 1445/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were quoted at US$ 1345/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 10150/ton to RMB 10200/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY went up and were offered at RMB 10650/ton, RMB 12000/ton and RMB 10650/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY increased to US$ 1430/ton, US$ 1605/ton, and US$ 1415/ton, respectively.
