MEG, PSF & PTA prices dip in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices fell in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1375/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 985/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mix trend in Asia. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices inched up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1125/ton to US$ 1130/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1030/ton.
 
In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of 48.50 cents/pound to 49.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices moved up in European international market to US$ 1110/ton, while the prices remained stable in domestic market at € 1045/ton.
 
MEG prices showed downward trend in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 910/ton. In China market, MEG prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7050/ton to RMB 7100/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices continued to be stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices dipped to RMB 9450/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices fell and were quoted in the range of RMB 9425/ton to RMB 9475/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1440/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were assessed at US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 10125/ton to RMB 10175/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady and were assessed at RMB 10650/ton, RMB 12000/ton and RMB 10650/ton respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY stayed unchanged at US$ 1430/ton, US$ 1605/ton and US$ 1415/ton, respectively.
