MEG, PX prices rise in Asian markets; PTA down

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1390/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1395/ton.
 
PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mix trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1080/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of 48.00 cents/pound to 48.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices went up in European international and domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1175/ton and € 1075/ton, respectively. 
 
MEG prices went up in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 960/ton. In China market, MEG prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices continued to be steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were stable at RMB 9650/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of RMB 9625/ton to RMB 9675/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1470/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were quoted at US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices moved up and were assessed in the range of RMB 10325/ton to RMB 10375/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and DTY prices inched up and were quoted at RMB 11100/ton and RMB 12400/ton, respectively, while FDY prices stayed stable at RMB 10950/ton. In export market, offers for POY and DTY increased and were assessed at US$ 1495/ton and US$ 1665/ton, respectively, while FDY price was stable at US$ 1460/ton.
