Thai silk festival to honour Queen Sirikit

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will be organizing the Thai silk festival at Suvarnabhumi airport from August 10-12, 2012, to honour Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, whose 80th birthday falls on August 12.
The silk festival is being organized in collaboration with Airports of Thailand (AOT) and the Commerce Ministry.
The highlight of the event will be Thai silk fashion show featuring dresses designed and created by female prisoners.
Ambassadors of several countries and their families will be attending the fashion show.
