With the sponsorship of the Korea Federation of Textile Industries (Chairman Hee-Chan Ro), ‘Preview in SEOUL 2012 (PIS)’, which will be held from September 5th (Wed) through the 7th (Fri) at COEX B Hall on the first floor, has completed its recruitment of the exhibitors on July 6th and has started its preparation for the upcoming exhibition.

Despite the recent global recession and the economic instability in the U.S. and Europe, PIS continues to facilitate international textile trade and export. With an increasing awareness and expansion of the Korean textile companies, numerous international enterprises continue to re-participate in the exhibition, and such a participation of leading companies anticipates a successful outcome.

‘Preview in SEOUL 2012’ will offer high-tech and eco-friendly products that have been presented in the international exhibitions such as ‘Premiere Vision’, ‘Texworld’, ‘ISPO’  and so on.

With HUVIS, KOLON FASHION MATERIAL, ILSHIN SPINNING, and SAMIL SPINNING, KOTERI (KOREA HIGH TECH TEXTILE RESEARCH INSTITUTE) have collaborated together and will present new knit materials at the exhibition. Depending on the material, most optimal functions will be presented with reasonable prices.

Furthermore, many leading textile companies endeavor to introduce specialized items and to add diversity, and such companies include: KAYJUNE COMPANY’s organic cotton, IL SONG TEX’s nylon/polyester DTY mesh textile, NAJUNG IND’s torsion lace, and KPM TECH’s fiber for health-care.

‘Preview in SEOUL 2012’ will focus on the materials that are created through high-tech, fusion technology. Such products include: an upgraded version of lightweight fabric, the four-season temperature control fibers, and the natural fibers and texture that appear as synthetic fibers.

In the sports and fashion sector, fabrics often have been produced for the spring and summer materials and the autumn and winter materials. However, due to a high demand and interest, four-season, multi-functional fabrics have been produced.

During the past two years, the participation of foreign companies has augmented dramatically, shaping ‘ Preview in SEOUL’ as an international exhibition. In particular, the implementations of Korea-EU and Korea-U.S. FTA have induced many leading international corporations to pursue frequent trade with the Korean textile companies.
