Tobolsk-Polymer to have polypropylene production plant

Implementation of the project will significantly increase the volume of processing of associated petroleum gas, which will have a positive impact on the ecological situation in the region.

The new production will meet the continually increasing demand for polypropylene and the products that are produced from it.

SIBUR produces more than 2,000 different types of products. The Company has strong positions in the Russian petrochemical market. In 2011, SIBUR accounted for more than 50% of  all APG processed in Russia and 34% of Russia’s production of synthetic rubbers, 38% of LDPE, 27% of polypropylene, 65% of mono-ethylene glycol, 55% of  butadiene, and a considerable share of other petrochemical products.
