This edition of Première Vision Pluriel registered a record number of exhibitors: 1,867 international exhibitors, among the most creative and innovative in their professions (up 9% over September 2011). Together they welcomed 60,716 professionals from all over the world (+4% over September 2011), including nearly 70% from abroad. Driven by the luxury and international markets, Première Vision Pluriel marks an exceptional edition.

The best people to speak about Première Vision and Expofil are the players themselves. And for this second edition of 2012 (19-21 September), they had no hesitation doing so. Exhibitors and buyers all described themselves as excited about the show they were taking part in. In terms of business, meetings, news, creative stimulus, they all said they had experienced three exceptional days. “It’s the largest and most comprehensive show, » said Alban Decock from the French company Hollington. It’s the most important showcase in the world for sourcing textiles, accessories, trends and colours.” Paolo Mosca, designer for Replay of Italy.

For new exhibitors, the show was a surprise - and a happy one. «I wonder why we waited so long to decide to exhibit at Première Vision! We were very pleasantly surprised,» said Nathalie Loubeyre (Piero Galli). What new exhibitors discovered in particular were the unique strengths of the show. Première Vision and Expofil strive time and again to select the best possible offer, to fine-tune concepts, promote creativity and bring new services to every edition - and thus attract buyers from all the major markets to the show.

This is one of the specific strengths of Première Vision in the world of fashion fairs, and one exhibitors did not fail to emphasise: “We had a very large number of visitors... The show gives us a real opportunity to expand our client portfolio,” said A. Mehmet Karayel, marketing & sales manager for the Turkish company Nurildiz. “We are very satisfied. We saw 200 clients. We found the international showcase we were looking for,” said Chiara Stoppa of Coronet.

In terms of collections, weavers outdid each other in creativity and inventiveness for autumn winter 13/14. Fashion, which has been growing more colourful over the past few seasons, is now growing more decorative, richer in terms of fabrics, textures and the work that goes into products. It’s fashion that stimulates desire. And buyers, who are looking to stand out, are thrilled. Like Andrew Stevenson, designer at Tom Ford: “This season has a very interesting vibe. I’d say the fabrics overall are chic and shiny.
