Textiles collection workshop in City of Santa Monica

The City of Santa Monica’s Resource Recovery & Recycling Division is hosting a textiles collection event on Nov. 17, 2012 at the City Yards, helping you to find a new home for all your unusable clothing, towels, bedding and so much more.
USAgain is partnering with the City of Santa Monica, CA, to collect clothes & shoes during this special one-day event.
T-shirts make wonderful wrapping and we are here to show you how. This year’s clothing/textile recycling event will also feature a mini workshop on constructing no-sew t-shirt bags and how to reuse cloth instead of purchasing new wrapping paper.
USAgain (pronounced "use-again") is a for-profit company that collects unwanted textiles and resells them in the U.S. and abroad, effectively diverting millions of pounds of clothing from landfills, generating new revenue streams for U.S. businesses and non-profits, and fueling local economies in emerging countries.
