China continues to buy cotton for national reserves

The Government of China is continuing to procure cotton for national reserves.
 
On November 2, it was planned to purchase 140,660 tons of cotton for national reserves, with Xinjiang accounting for 39,600 tons and the remaining 101,060 tons from inland warehouses.
 
However, the actual purchase was just 67,950 tons, with Xinjiang contributing 39,600 tons, while the rest 28,350 tons was procured from inland warehouses.
 
As of November 2, 2012, the total cotton procured by China for national reserves stood at 1,924,480 tons, of which, 1,378,320 tons came from Xinjiang, while another 546,160 tons arrived from inland area.
