China's PTA spot market in wait-n-watch phase

The purified terephthalic acid (PTA) spot market in China is currently in wait-n-watch mode.
In East China market, the spot price of PTA was quoted at around 8,150 yuan/ton on November 5. In response, downstream buyers made bids for price in the range of 8,000-8,050 yuan/ton, and finally negotiated price was around 8,100 yuan/ton.
For Taiwan produced PTA, market offers were in the range of US$ 1,095-1,100/ton on November 5, and bids from downstream manufacturers were around US$ 1,085/ton.
For South Korean PTA, market offers were around US$ 1,085/ton, while purchasers bid for price of about US$ 1,075/ton.
