Flame-retardant fibres and yarns offer a wealth of different choices, from fine and smooth monofilaments for taffeta to heavy textured yarns for upholstery or antimicrobial staple fibres. With Trevira Fill for bedware or Trevira CS Bioactive for contract textiles, the company headquartered in Bobingen offers other innovative brand-name products for textile interiors. At Heimtextil, Trevira will be presenting its current range of product innovations in the foyer of Hall 3.C.

Outlast: temperature regulation with smart fibres

Outlast Technologies, the market leader in temperature-regulating phase change materials (PCM), is presenting its new PCM filling material for bedware. Its PCM polyester fibre is the first of its kind in the world. "We are proud of this new development, which provides for optimum thermal comfort and exceptional performance," explains Martin Bentz, Managing Director of Outlast Europe.

"Our PCM polyester fibre can now be used as a fill for duvets, pillows or sleeping bags to help actively balance temperature and significantly reduce moisture during sleep." An important part of this is that the new PCM fills proactively optimise the bed climate, quite unlike other technologies that are solely designed to wick away moisture. The Outlast technology was originally developed for NASA to protect astronauts from temperature fluctuations. Outlast is the market leader in temperature-regulating phase change materials (PCM) and works with more than 300 brands in the bedware, apparel and shoe segments. At Heimtextil, Outlast Europe will present its innovations in Hall 8.0, next to bedding and bedware.

Lenzing: core expertise in cellulose fibres

The Lenzing Group is a leading provider in many B2B markets. Its product range spans fibre pulp, cellulose standard and special fibres, high-quality synthetic polymer products and engineering services.

With more than 6,500 employees worldwide, the Lenzing Group provided the global textile and non-wovens industry with more than 700,000 tonnes of industrially manufactured man-made cellulose fibres last year. These fibres are industrially manufactured from wood, a natural raw material containing roughly 40 percent cellulose.

The natural origin of this fibre is also the source of its absorbing capacity and exceptional ability to manage moisture. At the same time, the industrial production method ensures purity and consistent qualities. The company has a 70-year track record in fibre production and is the only manufacturer worldwide that can offer all three generations of man-made cellulose fibres – from traditional viscose to modal and Lyocell fibres – under one roof and on a large industrial scale. In January, Lenzing will showcase its new range of fibres in Hall 8.0 at Heimtextil.

Messe Frankfurt is Germany’s leading trade fair organiser, with 467.5 million euros in sales and 1,725 employees worldwide. The Messe Frankfurt Group has a global network of 28 subsidiaries and approx.
