Chinese VSF prices likely to remain range bound

In the previous week, Cotton Linter prices opened with a decline of RMB 35/ton at RMB 3030/ton and later maintained a stable trend. In the last update from market, prices were in the range of RMB 2900/ton to RMB 3200/ton. Trading offers were in between RMB 2800/ton and RMB 3100/ton. Average price for last week was RMB 2800/ton.

Prices of Dissolving Pulp inched down to RMB 6950/ton in the last week, but later they maintained a stable trend. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 910/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US were assessed at US$ 1000/ton, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 1000/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden and Russia were in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 980/ton.

Prices of VSF went up by RMB 50/ton to RMB 14400/ton in the previous week and sustained a steady trend. Earlier, market opened in the range of RMB 14300/ton to RMB 14400/ton, but due to support of demand fundamentals the trading prices surged to RMB 14400/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.90/kg to US$ 2.03/kg. Market experts predict that price would remain range bound around US$ 2.05/kg in the near future.

In the previous week, prices of VFY maintained a steady trend at RMB 41700/ton, but the market opened with a decrease of RMB 50/ton at RMB 41650/ton. Earlier, market opened in the range of RMB 41650/ton to RMB 41750/ton, but the trading prices declined to RMB 41650/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 6070/ton to US$ 6170/ton.
