Limited trade in China's PTA spot market

Limited volume of trade was witnessed in Chinese purified terephthalic acid (PTA) spot market on November 28.
In East China, spot offers for PTA in mainstream market were in the range of 8,150-8,200 yuan/ton, while bids from downstream buyers were in the range of 8,100-8,150 yuan/ton. Actual negotiations took place in the price range of 8,150-8,200 yuan/ton.
For Taiwan produced PTA, market offers were around US$ 1,120/ton. Downstream manufacturers inquired in the range of US$ 1,110-1,115/ton, and market negotiations centred around US$ 1,115/ton.
For PTA imported from South Korea, prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1,110-1,115/ton. Bids from buyers were for price of US$ 1,105/ton or higher and few actual talks were for US$ 1,105 or higher.
