Colombia attempts to boost textile & apparel sector

Commission the Sponsor Plan, which will be reinforced in 2013.  To date, it has facilitated the signing of 16 memoranda of understanding between anchor companies and workshops, which will generate a direct impact on 250 workers. Implementation of multiple promotional efforts by PROEXPORT, so as to make better use of FTAs. These efforts include the holding of seminars on the benefits of the trade agreements with the U.S. and the E.U., regarding issues of origin and public procurement, as well as business matchmaking events, trade missions, and  tailored support for businesses.
