Ethylene prices show mixed trend in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined in the range of US$ 1630/ton to US$ 1635/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1625/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1650/ton to US$ 1655/ton.

PTA prices went down in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1145/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1150/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1155/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable in the range of RMB 8325/ton to RMB 8375/ton.

Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1170/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1190/ton and € 1060/ton, respectively.

MEG prices showed a mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices went up and were offered at US$ 1100/ton. In China market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1085/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched up in the range of RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were assessed in the range US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were in the range of RMB 10425/ton to RMB 10475/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 10225/ton to RMB 10275/ton.

PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were assessed at 1570/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 10800/ton to RMB 10850/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY, and FDY prices increased and were assessed at RMB 11100/ton, RMB 12450/ton, and RMB 11500/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY prices increased and were assessed at US$1525/ton, US$ 1705/ton, and US$ 1570/ton, respectively.
