China's cotton yarn market shows weak trend

The spot price of cotton in China is showing a slow upward trend, but the same is not reflected in cotton yarn market, which is showing a weak trend, mainly owing to poor demand from downstream manufacturers.
At present, the mainstream price of C32S cotton yarn is in the range of 25,500-26,000 yuan/ton, and higher level cotton yarn prices are in the range of 26,500-27,000 yuan/ton.
Meanwhile, the price of yarn containing polyester is increasing, as the polyester staple fibre market has stabilized in recent time. Currently, the mainstream price of T63/C35 32S yarn is around 19,500 yuan/ton, while the higher level price is in the range of 19,500-20,000 yuan/ton.
The rayon yarn prices are also showing a decline due to a drop in prices of viscose staple fibre. At present, the transaction price of rayon yarn R30S is in the range of 18,000-18,500 yuan/ton and higher level price is in the range of 18,500-19,000 yuan/ton.
