Korea Petrochemical Industry Company (KPIC) has hiked operating rates at its Polypropylene (PP) plant.

According to a KPIC official, the PP plant is now currently operating at 90 percent production capacity rates, due to good demand from the market.

When quizzed about any imminent maintenance turnaround at the PP plant, he said, “There might be a turnaround at the plant next year, but dates have not been finalised yet”.

The plant located at Ulsan in South Korea has a production capacity of 470,000 tons per annum.
