Ethylene prices move up in US market

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices went up in the range of US$ 1630/ton to US$ 1635/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1605/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market plunged down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1625/ton to US$ 1630/ton.

PTA prices price went down in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1150/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1155/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed stable in the range of RMB 8450/ton to RMB 8475/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mix reaction in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices shot up in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1195/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices surged in European international market to US$ 1340/ton and remained steady in the domestic market at € 1055/ton.

MEG prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 1140/ton. In China market, MEG prices surged in the range of US$ 1135/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined in the range of RMB 8375/ton to RMB 8425/ton.

In S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips stayed stable in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In F E Asian market, selling prices were offered in the range US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable at RMB 10550/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 10325/ton to RMB 10350/ton.

PSF prices continued to be steady in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were quoted at 1570/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 10875/ton to RMB 10900/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged and were offered at RMB 11200/ton, RMB 12550/ton and RMB 11550/ton, respectively. In export market, prices for POY, DTY and FDY were stable and were quoted at US$ 1535/ton, US$ 1715/ton and US$ 1575/ton, respectively.
