Surat based Zenitex again wins energy conservation award

For the second consecutive year, Surat-based textile fabric processor - Zenitex Pvt Ltd has received the first prize of the prestigious National Energy Conservation award for 2012 in the textile sector from the hands of the President of India – Mr Pranab Mukherjee.

This is a record of sorts as no other medium sized company in the Indian textile sector has won this award previously. This prize has been awarded in face of intense competition from various Indian textile majors.  
 
The award was given in the presence of Minister of State for Power – Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia and was accepted by Mr Viral Desai – CEO of Zenith Pvt Ltd. 
 
In 2011, Zenitex also bagged “The Best Industry Award for Quality and Environmental Protection (MSME) 2010 from the Gujarat Government. It has also been awarded the Gujarat Gas Safety Award, consecutively for three years beginning from 2008. 
 
Speaking about the award, Mr Viral Desai said, “Energy conservation is important to make sure that we have and will continue to have, the water, materials and resources to protect our environment. Everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment”.
 
Zenitex Pvt. Ltd. operates a textile process and dyeing unit in Surat and is certified with ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
