China's cotton textile exports decline in Jan-Sept

The overall cotton textile exports from China dipped by six percent year-on-year to US$ 18.64 billion during the first three quarters of the current year, according to customs data.
 
The export volume of cotton garments declined by five percent year-on-year, while the exports of cotton bedding decreased by 8.8 percent year-on-year during January to September 2012.
 
However, the exports of cotton yarn posted a positive year-on-year growth of three percent and amounted to 325,000 tons, during the same period.
 
Similarly, the quantity of Chinese cotton fabric exports increased by 4 percent year-on-year to 5.78 billion metres, during the period under review.
