Overall turnover swells in Chinese polyester chips market

The overall turnover increased in Chinese polyester chips market on January 3, due to rise in sporadic sales.

Fluctuation was seen in the price of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) in China’s spot market and the price closed at 8850 yuan/ton.

Prices of MEG, polyester chips, bright polyester chips and PET bottle chips tended to move upwards on January 3 in Chinese market.

Prices of CDP chips, acrylic staple fiber 1.5D × 38mm and acrylic top 3D × 102mm moved downwards, while prices of nylon 6 chips remained stable.

In spot market, semi-dull polyester chips were traded at 10,850 yuan/ton, in terms of three months acceptance. In mainstream market, price of semi-dull polyester chips was quoted at 10,750 yuan/ton, in terms of cash payment.

Similarly, polyester bright chips were traded at 10,850 yuan/ton in spot market, in terms of three months acceptance and delivery at buyer’s destination within short distance. The mainstream price of polyester bright chips was 10,750 yuan/ton, in terms of cash payment.

The spot price of CDP slice was 11,400 yuan/ton, in terms of three months acceptance and delivery at buyer’s destination.
