Ethylene prices surge in Asian & US market

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mix trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1660/ton to US$ 1665/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1655/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market increased in the range of US$ 1670/ton to US$ 1675/ton.

PTA prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1185/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1190/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1185/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went up in the range of RMB 8900ton to RMB 8950/ton.

Ethylene prices went up in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1210/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged in the range of 60.00 cents/pound to 60.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices shot up in European international and domestic market at US$ 1400/ton and € 1140/ton, respectively.

MEG prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices increased to US$ 1215/ton. In China market, MEG prices increased in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went down in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 1000/ton.

In S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1470/ton to US$ 1520/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1470/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In F E Asian market, selling prices were offered in the range US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased to RMB 11400/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 11100/ton to RMB 11150/ton.

PSF prices surged in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were assessed at 1685/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1585/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went up and were quoted in the range of RMB 11675/ton to RMB 11725/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and DTY prices remained unchanged and were quoted at RMB 11650/ton and RMB 12900/ton, respectively while FDY prices increased to RMB 12125/ton. In export market, prices for POY and DTY went down and were offered at US$ 1595/ton and US$ 1755/ton, respectively while FDY prices surged at US$ 1655/ton.
