Invista to host 'Lycra Rendezvous” in New Delhi on Feb 28

INVISTA, one of the world's largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers is all set to present the second edition of its much anticipated ‘LYCRA RENDEZVOUS’ event scheduled to take place on 28 Feb, 2013 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The event would focus on the ‘denim’ segment and showcase new and innovative products highlighting INVISTA’s key technologies for denim, TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric, LYCRA dualFX fabric and XFIT LYCRA fabric.

The forum aims to reach out to key members of the value chain including manufacturers, mills, retail brands, buying houses. The day-long event will comprise of new product launch, technical seminars, fabric and concept garment showcase by INVISTA and presentations by key mills working with its innovations.

Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head - South Asia, INVISTA, says, “The Indian denim industry has seen massive expansion in recent times. More players are jumping onto the bandwagon and the existing players are looking at carving their position in the dynamic denim market. The Indian market has moved beyond five-pocket blue denims. Consumers are becoming more demanding, hence raising a need for denim producers to stay on top of the innovation curve, keeping in mind the apparel trends and consumer preferences.”

Owing to the positive customer response and rising demand for differentiated products, INVISTA would be introducing the new fibers in the Indian market that would be showcased at the event. It would also highlight the breakthrough fabric technologies from INVISTA’s product portfolio that are pioneering the future of clothing offering a combination of performance, comfort and aesthetics.

He further adds, “Our latest offerings at the second edition of LYCRA RENDEZVOUS will display excellent performance especially in terms of comfort, strength and recovery. Moreover, they are a designers dream because of the variety of styles and visually appealing effects one can create.”

INVISTA as the innovation leader in the textile space offers a platform to combine the best brains in the industry to devise solutions that can fuel the growth of the promising Indian denim market keeping in mind the global trends. The conclave would critically analyze the future of the Indian denim industry and the opportunity and challenges that lie in the journey ahead. It would also bring to light deep consumer insights and ways to win today’s denim consumer.

Fabric mills, buying houses, brands and retailers from across Asia and Europe are expected to participate in the event.
