PTA, MEG & PX prices rise in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1725/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1700/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1695/ton to US$ 1700/ton.

PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1185/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1195/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1185/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8850/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were steady in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1395/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1350/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of 67.50 cents/pound to 68.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices maintained stable trend in the European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1550/ton and € 1150/ton, respectively.

MEG prices increased in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 1175/ton. In China market, MEG prices were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8850/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1600/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1540/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1520/ton to US$ 1560/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices surged to RMB 11350/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were unchanged in the range of RMB 10875/ton to RMB 10925/ton.

PSF prices were stable in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1670/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1570/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were unchanged in the range of RMB 11575/ton to RMB 11625/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices were steady at RMB 11575/ton, RMB 12900/ton and RMB 12000/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY stayed steady and were assessed at US$ 1585/ton, US$ 1755/ton and US$ 1630/ton, respectively.
