DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR, the world’s second largest floor covering show 952% booked six weeks before the March 26-28, 2013 show in Shanghai and it is expected that 1,200 exhibitors will fill the 130,000 square meter show floor to capacity. In its 15th annual show, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR continues to place emphasis on innovation and diversity of products while providing a great visitors’ exposure to China’s giant floor covering and construction markets.

Eight international country pavilions from Turkey, Pakistan, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, USA, India and Iran, along with individual exhibitors will participate in the international carpet hall while Chinese carpet exhibitors will fill three additional halls with a broad range of commercial, residential and area rug o offerings. Resilient flooring, including LVT, continues to be the show’s fastest growing category, while the show’s biggest product category, wood and laminate, will cover four halls and incorporate innovative flooring technology exhibits.

Although the show is focusing on Asian made products, Western manufacturers have a significant part and include Armstrong, Gerflor, Mapei, Amorim and Valinge Innovations, among others. US based floor covering associations, namely the National Wood Flooring Association, the American Hardwood Export Counsel Council and the American Floorcovering Alliance, will have booths on the showroom floor.

Confirming their commitment to the show and the strong interest in the market, country pavilions like Turkey, Pakistan and India, not only will come back after a successful 2012 participation, but will also increase their exhibit space at the coming 15th edition of the show.

A strong supporter of DOMOTEX asia/CHINFLOOR since 1999, Belgium makes a major contribution with 30 manufacturers including Unilin, Berry Alloc, Beaulieu International Group and Balta. Seventeen Belgian carpet producers, supported by FIT Agency and Fedustria, will exhibit along with equipment manufactures.

InnovAction flooring, the new campaign by DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR, will bring 300 new, innovative flooring solutions into the show and make them easily identifiable by visitors not only throughout the whole fair ground, but also at the special InnovAction area located in hall N1.

Concurrent events running within and alongside DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR provide added value with flooring expertise and exposure to China’s vast floor covering and construction markets. These include the Floor-tech Forum, dedicated to innovations in flooring technology, Carpet-tech Forum, focused on developing technologies and innovations, “Materials for Future Floors” by Materia presenting emerging trends from across the globe for all types of floors, and important forums including the biennial Wood Flooring Forum and the China Wood Flooring Retailers Conference.

Co-located events featuring building materials and interior finishes are also open to the DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR visitors. They include:  R+T Asia, the leading fair in Asia for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems; Integrated Furnishings, dedicated to cabinets, stairs and doors; and DECO +, featuring a wide range of high-end building materials.
