Polyester POY & FDY prices decline in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1690/ton to US$ 1695/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1670/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1695/ton to US$ 1700/ton.

PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1175/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8600/ton.

Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were steady at US$ 1365/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 61.50 cents/pound to 62.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1525/ton and € 1165/ton, respectively.

MEG prices were steady in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 1135/ton. In China market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1135/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1600/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were steady at RMB 11200/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of RMB 10900/ton to RMB 10950/ton.

PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1695/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1595/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 11625/ton to RMB 11675/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and FDY prices declined and were offered at RMB 11600/ton and RMB 12050/ton, respectively, while DTY prices were steady at RMB 13000/ton. In export market, offers for POY and FDY went down and were offered at US$ 1600/ton and US$ 1650/ton, respectively, while DTY prices were steady at US$ 1785/ton.
