Ethylene prices surge in US; dip in Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1655/ton to US$ 1660/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1630/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1655/ton to US$ 1660/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1165/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1155/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8325/ton to RMB 8375/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were steady at US$ 1365/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of 62.00 cents/pound to 62.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in the European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1525/ton and € 1170/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 1100/ton. In China market, MEG prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 7925/ton to RMB 7965/ton. 
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1600/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices went down to RMB 11050/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices went down in the range of RMB 10700/ton to RMB 10750/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1665/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1565/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 11450/ton to RMB 11500/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices went down and were quoted at RMB 11500/ton, RMB 12850/ton, and RMB 11950/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY declined and were offered at US$ 1585/ton, US$ 1765/ton, and US$ 1640/ton, respectively.
