China's PTA spot market maintains wait-and-watch trend

The purified terephthalic acid (PTA) spot market in China maintained a wait-and-watch trend on March 5.
In East China, market offers were in the range of 8,150-8,200 yuan/ton, and there were very few bids from buyers. Discussions remained in the range of 8,100-8,150 yuan/ton, and overall market turnover was less optimistic.
For Taiwan produced supply, PTA market offers were mostly in the range of US$ 1,125-1,130/ton. Negotiations were mostly held in the range of US$ 1,120-1,125/ton. Low-end price was quoted at US$ 1,115/ton.
Market offers for Korea produced PTA were mostly in the range of US$ 1,120-1,125/ton and discussions remained in the range of US$ 1,115-1,120/ton, or even lower.
