Images Group recently held a road show in Ahmedabad to promote the 3rd edition of ‘InFashion' to be held from March 20-22 in Mumbai.

Also present on the occasion was Mr Ramesh Poddar – Chairman of Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd and also President of Federation of All India Textile Manufacturers Association (FAITMA), which is the co-organiser of InFashion.

Speaking on the occasion – Mr Poddar said, “InFashion is one-of-its-kind show in India for the textile industry showcasing a very wide range of fabrics. There are more than 100 exhibitors participating in the show and we expect visitor numbers to reach around 50,000.”

“Alongside the trade show, we will also host knowledge and information sharing programs, which could prove to be of importance for visitors from across India, as a visitor will able to hear success stories from the Indian textile trade and new technology developments.

“Secondly, the main reason for hosting this fair is to attract the young generation which is wary of joining the textile industry and to make them aware of new developments in managing businesses and create a positive outlook of the Indian textile industry.

“Thirdly, the tailoring business has taken a hit in the last few years, so we have also organised a session to discuss ways and means to attract youth in to the tailoring trade. Last year, we witnessed participation of 27,000 visitors and this year we expect around 50,000 visitors to attend the 2013 show,” he winded up by saying.

Mr Anand Parekh – President of textile division of Reliance Industries Ltd complimented InFashion for organizing knowledge seminars for the benefit of those in the textile trading community as they did not have access to information or new technology.

Speaking exclusively to fibre2fashion, Mr Poddar said, “We are trying to create an interesting and different experience for the Indian textile trading community at InFashion and I am sure those who attend, will not regret the decision.”
