Ethylene prices drop in European domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1565/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1535/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1555/ton.

PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1130/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of RMB 8100/ton to RMB 8150/ton.

Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady at US$ 1265/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were stable and were quoted in the range of 62.50 cents/pound to 63.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international market at US$ 1500/ton and declined in domestic market to € 1150/ton.

MEG prices increased in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1040/ton to US$ 1045/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7850/ton to RMB 7900/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices went down in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1540/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable at RMB 10650/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices declined in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10350/ton.

PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1565/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1465/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dipped and were assessed in the range of RMB 10750/ton to RMB 10800/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were assessed at RMB 11250/ton, RMB 12650/ton, and RMB 11600/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY dropped and were offered at US$ 1550/ton, US$ 1735/ton, and US$ 1585/ton, respectively.
