Iran masters production techniques of 40 petrochemicals

Iranian experts have acquired the necessary know-how to produce 40 petrochemical products, the Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (PRTC) has announced.
For the industrial and economic development of Iran, the Government has made indigenization as a strategic priority, Mr. Gholamreza Jokar, head of the PRTC, said.
He added that Iranian experts have successfully developed the indigenous know-how to produce about 40 petrochemical products inside Iran, FARS New Agency reported.
Last month, Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi said the exports of petrochemical products from Iran will soon surpass its crude oil exports in value.
Petrochemical products are currently the second-highest foreign exchange earner for Iran.
