Chinese cotton yarn prices stable; rayon yarn declines

The prices of cotton yarn in major Chinese provinces of Shandong, Hebei and Henan are stable in recent time due to the stability of domestic cotton prices in spot market and stable demand.
The prices of only a few grades of cotton yarn have been slightly adjusted based on the supply situation. At present, the mainstream price of cotton yarn C32s is 26,000 yuan/ton, while prices of higher grade are in the range of 26,500-27,500 yuan/ton.
Polyester staple fibre market has been weak in recent time, but the decline in prices has not been significant enough to impact the prices of downstream products, and the prices of polyester/cotton yarn remains stable. Currently, T63/C35 yarn 32s is traded around 19,500 yuan/ton in mainstream market, and prices of higher grade are in the range of 20,000-20,500 yuan/ton.
Meanwhile, the prices of rayon yarn have gradually moved downward in varying degrees due to a decline in prices of viscose staple fibre. Now, the mainstream transaction price of R30s rayon yarn is 19,000 yuan/ton, while prices of higher grade are in the range of 19,500-20,000 yuan/ton.
