China's PTA import volume falls in Feb'13

China imported 213,000 tons of purified terephthalic acid PTA (Tariff No.29173611) in February 2013, registering a fall of 264,000 tons compared to the volume of PTA imported during the same month last year, according to statistics.
 
China’s February PTA imports were 45,200 tons lower than the volume of PTA imported in January 2013.
 
The average import price of PTA in February 2013 was US $1,195/ton, up 1.61 percent year-on-year and 1.23 percent month-on-month.
 
In addition, China imported 44,900 tons of PTA (Tariff No 29173619) in February 2013, a decrease of 75,500 tons over the same period last year and 29,200 tons less than January imports. The average import price was US$ 1,165/ton, up 1.7 percent year-on-year and 1.04 percent month-on-month.
