Ethylene prices slide in European markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1435/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market moved down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton.
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market kept steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 7700/ton to RMB 7725/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1315/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1235/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were offered in the range of 60.50 cents/pound to 61.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices dipped in the European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1350/ton and € 1050/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices maintained a stable trend in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices rose and were quoted in the range of RMB 7225/ton to RMB 7275/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices stayed unchanged in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1550/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were stable between US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were offered at RMB 10,000/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady in the range of RMB 9375/ton to RMB 9425/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1450/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 10075/ton to RMB 10125/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained stable and were offered at RMB 10,400/ton, RMB 12,100/ton, and RMB 10,800/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1410/ton, US$ 1640/ton, and US$ 1455/ton, respectively.
