FPC reduces operating rates at Ningbo PP plant

Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) is presently running its Polypropylene (PP) plant in China at reduced rates, a company official said.
“The PP plant is currently operating at 80% rates due to poor demand in the Asian markets. We reduced the operating rate to 80% from 100% last week,” an official told fibre2fashion.
The plant which is located at Ningbo, Zhejiang province in China has a production capacity of 400,000 mt/year.
On asked about any plans for maintenance turnaround at the PP plant, he said that there are no plans for any maintenance turnaround this year.
