Rayon yarn prices rise in Chinese markets

The price of viscose staple fibre is actively increasing in Chinese markets in recent time. As a result, the price of downstream rayon yarns is also increasing. At present, the mainstream price of rayon yarn R30s is around 18,500 yuan/ton, while the price of higher grade is around 19,000 yuan/ton.
The spot price of cotton in China’s domestic market is currently stable. The price of cotton yarn is also stable due to steady raw material price as well as steady demand pattern. Spinners are purchasing cotton only as per their immediate requirement. Currently, the mainstream price of cotton yarn C32s is around 26,000 yuan/ton, and the price of higher grade yarn is in the range of 26,500-27,500 yuan/ton in Shandong, Hebei and Henan provinces.
The price of polyester staple fibre has not seen any upward momentum in recent days, and the market is basically stable. However, the prices of cotton/polyester yarn have shown slight upward adjustment, and transaction volume is good. Currently, the mainstream price of T63/C35 yarn 32s is around 19,500 yuan/ton, while price of higher grade yarn is above 20,000 yuan/ton.
