PTA market transactions at standstill in East China

There was almost no transaction for purified terephthalic acid (PTA) in East China on April 22. Traders quoted PTA price in the range of 7,800-7,850 yuan/ton, while negotiations prevailed in the range of 7,700-7,750 yuan/ton, but there was almost no transaction.
PTA offers in terms of US dollar were also less. There were a few offers in the range of US$ 1040-1045/ton, while bids by buyers were in the range of US$ 1025-1030/ton, and market negotiations were around US$ 1,030/ton.
