Asian PX prices swell; PTA down

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices moved up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1440/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton.
 
PTA prices fell in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1030/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1025/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market moved up and were offered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1030/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were assessed in the range of RMB 7625/ton to RMB 7675/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1120/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were offered in the range of 59.50 cents/pound to 60.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1250/ton and € 1005/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices showed mixed trends in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices swelled and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers increased and were quoted between US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10025/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices moved up and were in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 9425/ton to RMB 9475/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable and were offered in the range of RMB 10175/ton to RMB 10225/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10600/ton, RMB 12250/ton, and RMB 11100/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY increased to US$ 1450/ton, while prices for DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1670/ton and US$ 1510/ton, respectively.
