Several producers and manufacturers from Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Italy, Spain, Poland, the UK, Germany and India participated at Latvia’s just concluded 18th edition of ‘Fashion & Textile Exhibition 2013’.

Considered as the most important event for the Baltic’s textile industry, the expo featured various products from local Latvian labels like Natalie Jansson, Anna Led, Alexander Pavlov, Baiba Ripa, Kate, Narcissus, QooQoo, Zaneta AUZINAS, Ars Tela, Irina Kossakowo, Sand Lake, One Wolf, Blank Blank and Reinis Cartwright.

International manufacturers displayed their latest lines of clothing, knitwear, home textiles, fabrics and yarns along with industrial equipment like spare parts and sewing and textile accessories at the exhibition.

Other than the wide display of textile-based exhibits, the event also staged an exclusive bridal fashion show, which featured complex filea lace embroidered Swarovski crystal embedded wedding dresses from Latvian designers and classic, empire style gowns by Spanish and French manufacturers.

Held in the capital city of Riga, the exhibition also hosted the popular young fashion designers competition ‘Habitas Baltija’, which brings together up-and-coming fashion designers from the Baltic States, UK, Russia and the Nordic region.
