Southeast Asian PX & PTA markets swell

Paraxylene (PX) prices moved up in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1425/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton.
 
PTA prices inched up in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1045/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 7700/ton to RMB 7750/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1215/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1080/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1185/ton and € 945/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained stable in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers stayed steady between US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1480/ton, while discussion prices were in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices swelled and were quoted at RMB 10125/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10350/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY surged to RMB 10750/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable at RMB 12250/ton and RMB 11250/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY surged to US$ 1480/ton, while prices of DTY and FDY remained steady at US$1680/ton and 1540/ton, respectively.
