PTA prices surge in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. PX prices imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1050/ton. PTA prices imported from the Taiwanese market dipped and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7675/ton to RMB 7725/ton. 
  
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1110/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of 62.00 cents/pound to 60.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1085/ton and € 865/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices showed a mixed trend in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were stable and were offered in the range of RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton. 
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1460/ton and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers stayed stable between US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, while prices were offered between US$ 1410/ton and US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices shoot up and were quoted at RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 9625/ton to RMB 9675/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 10100/ton to RMB 10150/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined at RMB 10700/ton and RMB 11200/ton, respectively, while prices of DTY remained stable at RMB 12275/ton. In the export market, prices for POY and FDY declined at US$ 1470/ton and US$ 1530/ton, respectively, while prices of DTY were stable at US$1685/ton.
