China's yarn output increases in Jan-April'13

In April this year, China produced 2.864 million tons of yarn, which is an increase of 6.7 percent or 179,800 tons year-on-year. However, on a month-on-month basis, Chinese yarn production declined by 2.7 percent or 111,000 tons, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to April 2013, China’s yarn production totaled 10.809 million tons, registering an increase of 8.47 percent year-on-year.
During the current cotton season from September 2012 to April 2013, China’s overall yarn production stands at 23.23 million tons, an increase of 13.08 percent year-on-year.
