72nd plenary meeting of ICAC from Sept 29

Registration for the 72nd Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee is underway.

The agenda of the meeting features different sessions, including opening & breakout sessions in which the main topics of discussion are Interfiber competition: meeting the challenge of polyester, Land tenure and implications for agricultural productivity, Making cotton trade more efficient, Textile industry challenges, Regional trade agreements and implications for cotton etc.

The Secretariat of the Committee publishes information related to world cotton production, supply, demand and prices, and provides technical information on cotton production technology. Detailed statistics are found bimonthly in COTTON: Review of the World Situation, $190 per year via email, $230 per year in hard copy. A monthly outlook is available by email for $300 per year. Access to the latest weekly estimates of world cotton supply and use by the Secretariat is available on the Internet for $460 per year.
