Xianglu shuts down PTA plant on technical issue

China-based Xianglu Petrochemical has shutdown a purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant.
“The plant was shut on May 24, 2013 due to a technical issue and is expected to be resume production in middle of next week,” an Xianglu Petrochemical official told fibre2fashion.
Located in Fujian province, the PTA plant has a production capacity of 1.65 million mt/year.
