Southeast Asian PX & MEG prices show upward trend

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. 
          
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices were unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7760/ton to RMB 7765/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed sentiment in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1170/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of 57.50 cents/pound to 58.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices increased in the European international as well as domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1250/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices increased in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices were steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 7000/ton to RMB 7050/ton. 
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers rose and were in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1380/ton and US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were quoted at RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 9325/ton to RMB 9375/ton.
 
PSF prices surged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 10000/ton to RMB 10050/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices ofPolyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 10475/ton, RMB 12050/ton, and RMB 10700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY increased to US$ 1460/ton, US$ 1675/ton, and US$ 1475/ton, respectively.
