Ethylene prices soar in European markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1400/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. 
 
PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1180/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of 59.50 cents/pound to 60.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices surged in the European international as well as domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton and € 1010/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices showed a downward trend in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices dropped down and were assessed in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton. 
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable at US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1370/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were quoted at RMB 9625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1460/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 9995/ton to RMB 10045/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at RMB 10500/ton, RMB 12050/ton, and RMB 10700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY stayed stable at US$ 1450/ton, US$ 1660/ton, and US$ 1465/ton, respectively.
