Prices of 'Made in Taiwan' PX & PTA decline

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1385/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.

PTA prices inched up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1055/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7640/ton to RMB 7690/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1180/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were unchanged in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton and € 1010/ton, respectively.

MEG prices showed mixed sentiments in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7085/ton to RMB 7135/ton.

In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers declined to US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1370/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices surged and were quoted at RMB 9575/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9375/ton to RMB 9425/ton.

PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1460/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable in the range of RMB 9995/ton to RMB 10045/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at RMB 10500/ton, RMB 12050/ton, and RMB 10700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY stayed stable at US$ 1450/ton, US$ 1660/ton, and US$ 1465/ton, respectively.
