Banom uses only high tenacity filament (HTF) yarns for its cut-resistant products. In contrast with spun yarns, which comprise individual fibers that are twisted into yarns, HTF yarns utilize a bundle of continuous fibers that together have higher tensile strength and can therefore resist breaking when exposed to sheet metal edges. The company has created several yarns to target different end applications. For the sheet metal industry, Banom uses Abratex (Duratex) and MaxPly  Dyneema . ArmorPlate is used for protection against knife blades, while TriMax Dyneema is used for razor blades.
