Paraxylene prices surge in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, prices of PX increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. 
           
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went down in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 7625/ton to RMB 7675/ton.
   
Ethylene prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1225/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in the European international as well as domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton and € 1010/ton, respectively.  
    
MEG prices were stable in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7125/ton to RMB 7175/ton.         
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling prices stayed unchanged at US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1440/ton, while prices were offered between US$ 1370/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9525/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9325/ton to RMB 9375/ton.
 
PSF prices surged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1470/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed atable and were offered in the range of RMB 9975/ton to RMB 10025/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY, and FDY were stable at RMB 10350/ton, RMB 12000/ton, and RMB 10500/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices for POY, DTY, and FDY surged at US$ 1435/ton, US$ 1665/ton, and US$ 1445/ton, respectively.
