Strong demand for PX from China, says Hyundai Cosmo

South Korea-based Hyundai Cosmo (HC) Petrochem is reporting strong demand for PX from their export markets, particularly China.
“Currently, we are operating our No.2 aromatics plant at 100% capacity rates, although demand for PX from the domestic market is less”, a Hyundai Cosmo official told fibre2fashion.
“However, this has been offset by strong demand from China, which is our main export market for PX”, he further informed.
He added, “PX sales of Hyundai Cosmo in the domestic market are only one-third of our total PX sales”.
Located in Dasean, the No.2 aromatics plant has a PX production capacity of 800,000 mt/year.
